1.) Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Please see attached bio.

2.) How would you describe “Dubscience Photography” in under few words?

Dubscience Photography is a Baltimore based visual production company owned and operated since 2007. The business provides top quality Photography and Videography at a fair and reasonable price for private, corporate and editorial clients for use in their annual reports, brochures, social media and publications. All clients receive the highest level of attention, devotion and commitment. We take tremendous pride in producing expressive, artistic photographic services, tailored to each client, for those with a discerning taste for quality photography. We believe in creating dynamic working relationships with individuals and community, understanding that each client’s photographic style will be different, making us passionate about getting to know each person.

3.) How are you able to differentiate yourself from your competitors?

As a professional photographer – style, experience and reputation is what separates you from the rest. When your clients are impressed with the courtesy and care received, they tend to let people know, which in turn, grows your network and networth.

4.) Why should a potential client work with you instead of them?
I don’t believe in over selling. There are plenty of clients to go around and my end product speaks for itself.

5.) How do you feel about people who don’t know anything about photography calling themselves “photographers” because they can take pictures with their smart phone and upload them to Instagram?
To be honest, I don’t give it any thought. I just concentrate on Dubscience Photography/Films.
Issues like this don’t phase you when you’ve reach a certain level in the profession. You’re too busy focusing on the operations of daily and future business.

6.) Social media is obviously an extremely important element in today’s world, especially when it comes to business, branding, marketing, etc. With that being said, do you think a photographer will be able to survive professionally today if they’re not social media savvy?
I think its depends on the photographer. Some photographers despise putting their work on Social Media in fear that their photos will be stolen. Others, like myself use it to build social capital and strengthen community bonds. At the end of the day it’s up to the photographer to decide whether or not it’s the right tool for them.

7.) What tips would you give to anybody who is looking to start a business venture? Being an entrepreneur is a self sacrifice and comes with many challenges. Remaining aware that money, time and energy are the most valuable things you have and learning how to spend them wisely is important. Counsel often with those that have experience in your desired venture, study market trends and determine your audience.

8.) What are you excited about at the moment?

I’m excited about the opportunity to travel. Currently looking at Cuba and France this year.   In 2016 the brand will continue to market photography and videography services but, will also begin to exhibition frequently both nationally and internationally.

9.) Do you have a last word or final thoughts?

Use your imagination to maximize your full potential and turn it into reality.
